CERT Training Description

CERT training through the Pittsylvania County CERT program is FREE to all county residents.  CERT training includes disaster preparedness, disaster fire suppression, basic disaster medical operations, and light search and rescue operations.  Classes are taught by experienced emergency first responders from our local Fire Departments, Police, and Search and Rescue.  Each training session is two-three hours in length, and offered several times a week for eight weeks.  Those who attend all sessions will receive a certificate of completion.  Those who choose to be an active CERT team member will receive a CERT hard hat and safety vest.
