David N. Grimes was elected in 1992 as Commonwealth's Attorney for Pittsylvania County and has been
re-elected since then. He attended Northern Virginia Community College where he received his A.A. in
1970, and Madison College where he received his B.A. in 1972. He went on to receive his J.D. from the University of Richmond in 1977. David served as Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney or Pittsylvania
County from 1980-1987, and practiced privately in Danville, Virginia from 1987-1991 before being
elected as Commonwealth's Attorney. |
| Robert "Bryan" Haskins has served as Chief Deputy Commonwealth's Attorney for Pittsylvania County since 1998. Bryan graduated from East Carolina University in 1989 and Regent University School of Law in 1993. He was admitted to the Virginia State Bar in 1993 and from 1993-1995 practiced general criminal law. From 1995-1998 he was a partner for Turner, Haskins & Whitfield LC, a general practice in domestic and criminal law. |
Carrene L. Walker began serving as Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney for Pittsylvania County in 2008. Carrene graduated from Schreyer Honors College at Pennsylvania State University in 2005 with a B.A. in Journalism and a B.A. in Political Science. In 2008, she received her J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law. Prior to joining our office, Carrene was a summer associate at McNees, Wallace & Nurick Law firm, and interned in the Goochland County Commonwealth's Attorney Office. |
Molly Burke a native of Roanoke, began serving as Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney in 2011. Molly graduated from Radford University in 2006 with a Bachelors of Science in Criminal Justice. She received her Juris Doctor from the Appalachian School of Law in 2009. Molly is licensed to practice law in Virginia and Kentucky. |
David Husar began serving as an Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney in 2011. David graduated from Radford University in 2007 and from Barry University School of Law in 2010. David was admitted to the Virginia State Bar in April, 2011. Prior to joining our office, David served as a Law Clerk for Prince William County Attorney’s Office, and interned for both the Florida State Attorney’s Office in Osceola, Florida and for the Roanoke County Commonwealth’s Attorney Office. |
Nate Griffith began serving as an Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney for Pittsylvania County in 2011. Nate graduated from Emory & Henry College in 2008 with a B.A. in Political Science. In 2011, he received his J.D. from Regent University School of Law and was admitted to the Virginia State Bar in October, 2011. Prior to joining our office, Nate was an intern at Virginia Beach Commonwealth’s Attorney Office, Roanoke County Commonwealth’s Attorney Office, and Henrico County Commonwealth’s Attorney Office. |
| Allison Dolan began working as Administrative Assistant for Pittsylvania County Commonwealth's
Attorney's Office in 2002. She has lived in Pittsylvania County her whole life, and graduated from
Chatham High School in 1994. |
| Brenda White has worked for the Commonwealth's Attorney's Office in Pittsylvania County since 1992.
She graduated from Danville Community College and attended Howard University for three years.
Brenda worked for the Halifax County Commonwealth's Attorney's Office from 1988-1992. |
| Karen West began working in the Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office in 2010. She is currently a Senior at Kaplan University working on her Bachelor of Science Degree in Paralegal Studies and is an honor student who is a member of the National Collegiate Scholastic Honor Society and member of the NALA. Karen is scheduled to graduate in April of 2012 and plans to sit for her NALA Certification through the Roanoke Chapter. Prior to working for the Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office, Karen worked as a Paralegal and Law Office Manager in Boca Raton, Florida. |
