Illegal dumping may be more than you think...


The three most common forms of illegal dumping in Pittsylvania County are:


1. Contractors dumping construction waste at compactor sites.

 * All construction waste should be brought to the landfill.


2. Business dumping waste at compactor sites.

 * All businesses should either rent a container or bring waste to the landfill.


3. Residents dumping trash on ground or overfilling compactors.

* All trash should be put inside the compactor or other trash receptacle.

- Tie bags securely and be sure to cover any loose debris that might blow out of your vehicle.
