Meals Tax Information

Effective July 1, 2008 the Pittsylvania County Board of Supervisors enacted a 4% meals tax to be collected by all food establishments.

(Chapter 6, Article III Pittsylvania County Code) To register to collect this tax you may contact the Commissioner of the Revenue Office for Pittsylvania County for a registration packet or download an application and monthly reporting forms. For a complete copy of the County Ordinance, contact the County Administrator’s office or the Commissioner of the Revenue office.
