Participation in sports programs is very valuable to the development of children. Aspects of teamwork, dedication, discipline, physical fitness, self-esteem and fair play all contribute to the overall growth and maturation of young people. Pittsylvania County Parks and Recreation takes this responsibility seriously and strives to offer quality athletics programs that aid in the development of the youth of Pittsylvania County. The department is also proud to offer various bus and train trips throughout the year to tourist attractions along the east coast. This service is offered to families to provide a different type of recreation to those who like to travel. So let us do the driving for you and you can relax and enjoy the trip! Youth sports and trips are the cornerstone of the department today. As our department grows, so to will the diversity of the programs we offer. Sport Leagues Offered (click icon for more information)
