The main purpose of the program is to assist both crime victims and witnesses through the
criminal
justice process
and to
provide supportive services as needed.

| Notification of victims and witnesses of information about the case |
| Accompanying the victim or witness to and from court |
| Crime prevention information and assistance |
| Assistance with filing protective orders and warrants |
| Assistance with filing for compensation with the Virginia Criminal Injuries Compensation Fund |
| Crisis referrals |
| Inform victims and witnesses of their rights as crime victims/witnesses |
